This video gave me a glimpse of Norway - a sample of what the country has to offer. It presents people, nature, technology, the culture of Norway - all combined together gave birth to unique the quality of life Norwegian people can enjoy.

That is a pretty informative video and I am sooo excited to visit it!
I'm planning a trip to Norway mainly to see the Northern Lights.

I wanted to visit Oslo for a couple of days & then to head north up to Trosmo. It seems to rain a lot in Oct so thought I'd go in November. However, it's going to be pretty dark by then so I'm going to miss all sorts of things.huh!

What would people recommend? Oct when it's rainy or Nov when it's dark?

hello. Im a girl living in norway. If you want to see the beautiful norway you could either go in the winter and do all the inter stuff, or you could go in the summer and do all the summer stuff.. it is raining and getting faster dark now this days and there is nothing much to do, all the activ is in the winter or the summer.. In the winter you can go Ice fishing, swim in "hot" water in the north in what we call Culps. You can go snowboarding, skiing, rent a cabin up in the mountains In the winter its much better to wisit the country north and all the mountains, .. And in the summer its a lot to do, there are beautifull a long the country, to take a boat ride, bath, wisit all the smal citys all the way from Oslo to Kristiansand, All the summmer citys are in between there.. The mountains are altså very nice in the summer, Stavanger, Bergen, Trondhein, Porsgrunn, Oslo, Kragerø, Bodø, Sandefjord is some of the nicest citys in norway :) But you have to go into the country and wisit small comunitys and go to old old farms, where they still live like it was year 1850. But if you really want to go now this days you chould wisit Oslo, Some of the mountains and the ocean:) I can post some web paget that can be good to have. Hope you have som answers here.. anything else, youst ask

All autumn can be rainy nowadays, before we used to get snow in October. But not anymore cause of global warming. I LOVE snow so I'm pissed. XD
If you want too see the northern lights (which are indeed beautiful! I've seen them many times!)you should go far up north in a state called Finnmark. There is the best chance of seeing them. And Oslo the capital is a must place, you have lots of Museums, Parks and such, and there are great shopping possibilities too, Karl Johan is one of the streets excellent for shopping. ^_^ Other than that I can't give much more info since I'm not a big fan of Norway and think it's mostly boring, cause I'm all about Japan. XD But hope I helped a little! ^_^

Oslo weather; http://www.yr.no/place/Norway/Oslo/Oslo/Oslo/statistics.html gives you statistics of the weather in Oslo. Even if both October and November are of the most rainy months, there are also some nice sunny days in between. Lisa, do not let the weather stop you from enjoying our country. Days are colder than further south. Bring for instance a nice fleece jacket or wollen pullover/jacket to keep warm and a gortex jacket/rain jacket for rain/wind protection, and I am sure you will be all right.

A guy named Andre on myspace told me to follow a link, that led me here -to write of good places to go in Norway. The thing is, it all depends on what your interests are -what you want to see, and do. So I recommend searching online, in order to find an answer to your question. I wish I could be of more help. A personal favourite of mine, though, is Trondheim. Though it is one of the larger cities, it has the cozy feel of a small town.

wow.now this is a nice video.I would like to go there.

I am norwegian and I admitt its a beautifull country! nature..... ah. but still its quite over-done in this film, one must remember it is ones own eyes they see through. Some practical advice is bring warm clothes.and alot of money. in october norway is cold but still beautiful, and as the county is quite big, there are huge differences in both climate and mentality.

I would see the south of norway.. not tha larger cities like kr sand maybe but the charm of "sørlandet" lies in littles fishing boats the raw nature with the sea as its main attraction.the houses there are often very small, old and made of wood. Arendal city is my advice.

and I would see the mid-norway.With mountains, snow and woods. I would suggest Voss or something. Maybe Hemsedal.

Then I would definetly see Bergen, on the west coast. A beautiful strange city.quite big but still little and holds alot of norways soul if you like. it used to be the capital of norway in the old days.

From there i would travel north.. Trondheim! and further, further all the way up to the midnighth sun and the northern lights. Never been there myself but i`d like to. I have the impression its alot more nature than people up there.

Good luck.

Hey Lisa
It was a nice and informative video! Much is said already in the posts before me.I would either visit Norway in summer or winter-time. Think at least I enjoy those seasons better.Oslo hardly get any snow in november, then its more windy and cold.In the summer, I would go to Oslo and southern Norway, and small places/cities like Arendal,Grimstad,Lillesand,Kragerø and other small places. Did it myself this summer and it was really, really nice. But,I think most places here are pretty nice in the summer though.havent seen much of the western-part of Norway, but there you have the most beautiful sights and fjords.
For the winter, I would go up north to see the midnight-sun.

Good luck on your trip and feel free to ask any questions. I would gladly help you.
