| The video is an introduction to Chambery, a city in the Savoie (Savoy) region of Southeast France, and my current home town. It also shows examples of Trompe L'Oiel, a 3-dimensional art technique used for 400 years in European cities.

| A rainy trip to the Beaujolais region of France during the November release of the new wines, ie nouveau beaujolais. We stayed at a gite where they grew the grapes and made the wines on-site so we had the opportunity to do wine tastings with the owner's son, Florent.

| Lyon’s Fete des Lumieres, or the Festival of Lights, began in 1862 and has been transformed into a major 4-day festival attracting more than 50,000 people each year. Lyon illuminates their finest architecture with fantastic lights, shows and music. It is worth a trip to Lyon for the event which is held during the weekend of December 8th every year.

| Roanne France - boats and barges |

| When we visit my fiance's parents in Roanne we always take a morning to walk around the boat canal to look at the boats and barges and feed the ducks. It's a lovely walk and on many occasions we have had conversations with the boat folks, many of whom come from the U.S., Britian and northern Europe.

| On Monday afternoon I went for a last tour through Paris, cycling around Montmartre, on Avenue des Champs-Élysées, around Place Charles de Gaulle, underneath the Eiffel Tower, across Montparnasse, along the banks of the Seine and oozing through 1 Arrondissement back to my friends’ house, then quickly catching my train back to Amsterdam.
