This place is definitely just PARADISE!

And I am going to visit it quite soon! My husband and I are planning to go to the Bahamas on our honeymoon. We have already booked everything and I can't wait to go.
Now we are pretty into sports and we would like to go snorkeling and scuba diving. Can anyone suggest some places where we can do that for a medium budget?

We would like to know what is the national food and drink and where can we find some good places to taste them:) We really want to feel everything about this country!

Thanks a lot:)

hi,there is a place call stuart cove. You can choose whether u want to either snorkel, or immerse urself in shark adventure, or swim along with coral reefs your choice. or if you want to sail and snorkel, flying cloud catamaran cruises

For great bahamain food, you can try cricket club restaurant and pub, trust me their food is great, and not too costly, it's opposite arawak cay, if you want to try are bahamain conch salad you can also go to arawak cay to any one of the stalls they have their. I normally go to bruno's stall he also has great Bahamian food their, it's much cheaper there and u will enjoy it. If u want to get Bahamian t shirts you can visit the straw market down town, hope you enjoy ur vacation,

Tanya

Hey Karina am from Nassau. I can't really help u with the scuba diving thing but as for good places to eat the fish fry at Arawak Cay is always a good place to start. Its a strip of restaurants that offer GOOD Bahamian food such as conch fritters, conch salad, scorch conch, crack conch, crack lobster, fried snappers, and most of those come as grilled items as well which as very good and healthy as well!. People over here are very helpful 2 tourists so if u ask around an sure some1 will hook u up. And if you'll b getting around by taxi they are very helpful 2 n could properly suggest a good scuba diving company for u guys.

I hope that helps a little. Oh and you can also check out Bay Street aka Down Town for good shopping.

Hi karina,
It's nice to know you and your husband has decided to visit our lovely Bahamas Islands. I said Island because the Bahamas is made up of more than 700 chains of Sub-islands. But as I understand, you will be visiting New Providence, which is the central capital of all the other islands. Free Port Bahamas, being the second. Your friend, Camila G suggested that I post a comment here for you that may help while visiting our country. My best advice to you is, check with the hotel you're staying at and let them give you a menu of all the beautiful sites and hot spots for fun and play. Our native dish is fish, peas and rice, dombling soup, and many other delights. But, our trade marked dish is the cracked, grilled, or mixed conch salad. Hope this helps, and do enjoy your stay while in our lovely islands.

Steven Smith.
